THE REASON WE ENJOY BEING MOOSE MEMBERS AND CO- WORKERS
There are many reasons we here at the Selinsgrove Moose Family Center have joined with our members and co- workers all over the world. We as memebers all have accepted the challenging task of providing for the children at Mooseheart and the seniors at Moosehaven. The men and woman of the Lodge achieve this by supporting faternal programs and functions of Moose International. If you have ever had the chance to meet a child with no one or no where to turn to would you try to help?
If you would, you have the heart of a moose member . We change these kids lives by giving them a place to live , food to eat and an education . The family values these kids learn and the friends they make, will start them off on the right path to become respectable leaders of tomorrow. We here at the lodge had the chance to have the children from pensylvania house. They arrived at the lodge and met with the members and thanked them for all they do for them. Later they enjoyed a wonderful meal. We then gave all the kids a bag of gifts , they were greatful and thanked the men and women for all we do.The Lodge was touched , but there visit wasn`t over yet. Next the kids were off to the races for an evening of go-carts and micro migets .The kids arrived at the Selinsgrove Speedway and got escorted to the infield to park the mooseheart van with all the race cars. The kids were glued to the fence for the entire show.After the races they thanked us for all the great times they had with the Lodge, and we said our good byes. It was a sad time when they had to leave , but a great feeling knowing that we touched the lives of the children . Thank you Moose International for all the memories.

Help Mooseheart School win $500,000!!!
A Few Mouse Clicks Mean $500,000 to Mooseheart School ... or Not.

If, by just clicking a computer mouse a few times over five to ten minutes, you could send a HALF-MILLION DOLLARS to help Mooseheart's kids, you'd do it -- wouldn't you?

We sure hope so.

Between now and Friday evening, September 3, by just "voting" for Mooseheart School as your "favorite school" on the "Kohl's Cares" page on Facebook, we Moose members can get that $500,000 from Kohl's Cares Foundation for Mooseheart School!

That's $500,000 we then WON'T need to ask from the men and women of the Moose to help operate Mooseheart's school this year!

If you have a Facebook account (easy to set up), if you're 13 or older, and you're a U.S. resident -- just go to http://apps.facebook.com/KohlsCares, follow the directions to vote the maximum allowed FIVE (5) times for Mooseheart School -- and that's all there is to it!

Please ask your spouse, your family and all your friends to do the same!

Welcome to the Selinsgrove Moose Family Center #1173 , located in beautiful Selinsgrove, Pa. The home of the PIAA STATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS THE "SELINSGROVE SEALS" . The Lodge will be having a members Christmas party on Dec. 24th and we will be closing the Lodge at 6:00pm.
The Lodge will be closed Christmas day for our members to enjoy with their families. The band "ALIVE AND WELL" will be preforming on NEW YEARS EVE with the Lodge closing at 8:00pm to non-ticket holders. The tickets for this evening out cost $10.00 each, for more info stop by or give the Lodge a call. Don`t forget to check the newsletter for our many numerous events or feel free to check out the calendar on this site.
The Lodge will be open New Years Day from 10:00am - 8:00pm and we will be serving roasted pork and kraut from 11:00am-2:00pm for only $6.00 a platter. Congradulations to our newest Moose Legion members, Brad Koch , Bill Smith ,Andy Stewart . We are also very proud to be a two time Premier Lodge Award winner. This is a very distinctive award not accomplished by many Lodges, Including any others from our district.
We are very proud of our Women Of The Moose they have earned the honor of The Shining Star Award for becoming the #1 Chapter in Pennsylvania . A number of our members will be traveling to Nashville in July for the International Moose Conventionto recieve more awards . Great things are happening at The Selinsgrove Moose Family Center #1173 , Please stop by and share your thoughts and ideas with our friendly officers.
